Paula Mortimer Named 2025 Chilton Citizen of the Year

The recipient of the 2025 Citizen of the Year is Paula Mortimer. Paula (also known as “Elf Mort”) is one of those rare people whose joy for life naturally spills over into the lives of everyone around her. With a warm smile, boundless energy, and a heart dedicated to others, she makes it her mission each day to brighten someone else’s world. Known throughout the community for her quiet but meaningful acts of kindness, Paula looks for opportunities every day to lend a helping hand.

The Chilton Citizen of the Year Award is an annual award that was created in 1949 to recognize members of our community who go “above and beyond” in service to the Chilton community. Candidates are nominated by the community and selected by a Chilton Chamber committee based on volunteer service and personal involvement in the Chilton community.
